Emirhan Serin, born in 1994 in Bursa,Turkey, started his studies on music in primary school with his music teacher Tolga Atac. In 2008, with his acceptance to Zeki Muren High School of Fine Arts, he started practicing cello with his mentor Asst. Prof. Cagri Sen. In 2010, as the principal cello in the European Youth Symphony Orchestra, he appeared in several different concerts both in Turkey and in Europe.
Being accepted to State Conservatory of Anadolu University, he started his undergraduate studies under Assoc. Prof. Emel Onen's supervision. After one year of study, he continued with Prof. Dr. Ozan Evrim Tunca's mentoring. In 2015, he was chosen as the cello soloist for Anadolu University
Youth Orchestra conducted by Assoc. Prof. Erden Cologlu and performed Cello Concerto in D minor by E. Lalo. He advanced to semi-finals in a cello contest by Ankara State Conservatory in memory of Aziz Gurerk the same year. In May 2017, he played the first movement of cello concerto by Sir E. Elgar as the cello soloist in Eskisehir State Symphony Orchestra. During his studies, he attended to several masterclasses by exquisite musicians such as Garbis Atmacayan, Jean-Guihen Keyras, Emilio Colon, Cag Ercag, Melih Kara, Asst. Prof. Dilbag Tokay and Asst. Prof. Sinan Dizmen as well as studying chamber music with Assoc. Prof. Asu Perihan Karadut, Assoc. Prof. Emel Onen ve Ins. Seniz Aybulus and baroque music with Burak Basmacioglu. He participated in two different chamber music bands, namely, Anadolu Barok and Hezarfen Ensemble. After graduating from Anadolu University State Conservatory, he was accepted to the master's studies in Stephen F. Austin University of Texas, USA to Assoc. Prof. Evgeny L. Raychev's class and his assistantship.
