Biography of the dance group leader:

I am Abolfazl Jamali the founder of Zanjan Dance Group (2013) born in Zanjan.

I started learning Azərbaycani Dance in Tabriz city and I became a member of Tabriz Sahar Dance Group. I began to teach this art in Zanjan. I participated in different local and international festivals with Tabriz Sahar Dance Group. For example, I took part in commemorating of 60-year-old Azərbaycani dancer Jamile Bayramova in 2017. We also attended the ceremony for 90-year-old Azərbaycani dancer Roza Jalilova. Our group was the only group that took part in this great festival. In this wonderful ceremony, the group participated as the representative of Iran. It was held in Filarmonia Saloon in Baku for one night.

By the way, in 2018 we were invited to a ceremony in Novotel on the occasion of  Australia and Iran friendship. We also took part in many different ceremonies in Iran.

Zangan dance ensemble was founded by Abolfazl Jamali in 2013. This group for the first time started its activity for keeping cultural values and identity of the region. Our group did its best for spreading and promoting regional dance.

The most important local folkloric the festival that I participated in was Avaye Sarzamine Man which was held by Iranian president and interior minister in 2019 in Tehran International Fair. In 2020 we participated in the ancient Iranian festival by the invitation of Eshraq local  TV channel and produced a dancing clip for the channel. It was on the air for 13 days.
