In the spotlight

Xenia Galanova was born in Tomsk, Siberia (Russia). As a child she began to learn German language, music and ballet. At the age of 16 she began to sing professionally.

2009-2014 Xenia studied at the Urals Mussorgsky State Conservatory in Yekaterinburg, where she received her Diploma in Opera Studies and Voice Performance. During her studies she performed the following parts at the Opera Studio of Urals State Conservatory and Theater of Modern Opera in Yekaterinburg: Second Woman in Opera “Dido and Aeneas” by H.Purcell, Liubima in Opera “Miser” by I. Pashkevitch, Praskovja in Opera “Graf Caliostro” by M. Tariverdiev.

Competitions:

  • “Romansiada-2011” International Competition (Russia)
  • 2012 Shebalin Competition (Russia).
  • 2018  Ljuba Welitsch Competition Publikumpreis (Vienna, Austria)

Performances:

2017 Asian tour with the Vienna Walzer Orchestra in Japan and Korea (15 concerts in total):

  • 3 concerts in the Tokyo Opera City Hall, as well as in Osaka, Yokohama, Hamamatsu, Chiba, Biwako and Machida
  • 2 Concerts in Seoul (Lotte Concert Hall).
