Bogdana Pivnenko - is Head of the Department of Violin of the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine.

One of the most prominent of the young generation of violinists. She was graduated with honours and completed an assistantship programme course from the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine, studying with Prof. B.Kotorovych and Prof. I. Pylatyuk, and also took part in master classes conducted by V. Tretyakov and Z. Bron, O.Parhomenko amongst others.

  • Bogdana Pivnenko is a Laureate of the Interpreters Performers International Competition (Chisinau, Moldova, 1997);
  • Laureate of M. Lysenko International Competition (Kyiv, 1997);
  • Laureate of the National Arts Programme “New Names of Ukraine” and was awarded the national title “Honorary Artist of Ukraine”;
  • Laureat of the International Competition “IBLA GRAND PRIZE” (Italy, I prize, 2016) and  special prizes -Concert at Weil Hall Carnegie Hall on 9 May 2017;
  • Laureat of the Tadini International Music Competition (Lovere 2016);
  • From 2000 until 2004 - concertmaster of the Kyiv Soloists National Chamber Orchestra;
  • From 2001- a soloist of the National ensemble “Kyiv Kamerata”.

Bogdana Pivnenko has performed as soloist with the leading Ukrainian symphony and chamber orchestras and presented Ukrainian musical culture at concerts in Moscow, Paris, Vienna, Berlin, and also at festivals such as the International Youth& Music Festival Vienna (Gran prix winner), Berliner Festspiele MaerzMusik , Europaisches Klassik Festival (Ruhr), “Kyiv-Musik-Fest”, the Warsaw Autumn, and Nostalgie (Poland).

The violinist has toured with recitals in Spain (including Palau de la Musica Catalana in Barcelona), Poland, Russia, Georgia, Netherlands, Lithuania, Ukraine , Armenia, England, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Chine  and France.

She regularly takes part in the premiere performances of works by modern Ukrainian composers. She was presented the author's program of Valentine Silvetrov "Ringtone Moments" with the maestro on the stages of Berlin, Poznan, Brno, Kiev, Tbilisi.

She worked with conductors, such as Juozas Domarkas, Theodore Kuchar, Saulius Sondeckis, Vladimir Sirenko, Natalya Ponomarchuk, Vag Papian, Erki Pehk, Liutauras Balciunas and others.

Bogdana is an author and producer of projects “Antology of the Modern Ukrainian Music” (11 CD)

2000 she is on the faculty of the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine.
