In the spotlight

The Internacional Dance Company of the Euro Hispanoamericana University was born in 2004 in the city of Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico. At the iniciative of the rector of this studio house Dr. Ruth María Rodriguez Pérez under the supervision of its founder Mtra, Mercedes Valdes Mendez. Over the years, the company has excelled with participations at local, state, national and international levels. The company is composed of young students from the various careers offered by the institution, serving as fellows in the cultural branch, same who are favored with a comprehensive education that will undoubtedly make them better professionals.

The first international tour took place within a few months of its founding in the city of Canberra, Australia showing an extensive repertoire for eight days in a multicultural festival and continuing its tour in the city of Sydney where they performed at various educational institutions

  • The 21st Beijing International Tourism Festival (Award given for participation in Beijing China World Festival) Given by: Yajing Xue Official Organizer of Festivals and Events in China and Asia.
  • Certificate of Participation for the meeting of Integration of Folk Dances Argentina – Mexico. Given by: Guillermo R. Mercado Intendente Municipality of los Antiguos Argentina. August 2018.
  • The Office of Cultural Affairs, City of Dallas and The Mckenney Arts Comission (Recognition for giving Mexican folk dance workshops during the Dallas and Mackinney Folk Festival) May 2016. Given by: Eduardo Gutiérrez Coordinator of Cultural Affairs of the City of Dallas and Mackenney.
  • Cultural Arts Award In Appreciation for Commitment and Service (Cultural Arts Award in appreciation for the commitment and service provided over 5 years) by Omaha Sister Cities Association, April 15, 2018 in Omaha Nebraska
  • Embassy of México in Australia (Testimony in recognition of the contribution to the promotion of Mexican culture at the Multicultural Festival of Canberra) In February 2004. Given by: Minister Tirzo Beltran Torres Ambassador of Mexico in Australia.
