In the spotlight

The group was created in 2010 and was formalized in 2014 in the prefecture of Yaounde and the Ministry of Arts and Culture. The traditional dance group NKUL MEYONG participated in the fiftieth anniversary ceremony of Cameroon in 2010.

The group participated in the Gala evening of the Commonwealth ceremony invited by the Minister of Arts and Culture in 2015.  The group participated in the Gala evening of the International Book Fair invited again by the Minister of Arts and Culture in 2016. The group participated in the opening of the African Cup of Nations for women, the opening and closing invited by the Minister of Sports and at the (FENAC) national festival of Arts and Culture in Yaounde and invited by the Minister of Arts and Culture in 2018. The group participated in (FENAC) in Bertoua and In the festival of (FESMUDAP) Festival of musics and heritage dances 2017 and 2019 in Yaounde always invited by the Minister of Arts and Culture and other national and international ceremonies 2017-2019: best folk dance group in Cameroon.

The group has 50 members (dancers, singers, drummers and others...) Nkul Meyong does all the typical traditional dances of Cameroon.
