Soloist and teacher, from the great French school of the saxophone, Frédéric BASQUIN obtains his Prizes at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Lille and continues his studies at the Conservatoire de Cergy Pontoise in the class of Jean-Yves FOURMEAU, international concertist.
He also won numerous soloist awards in international and national competitions.
Holder of the State Diploma, he is currently professor of saxophone at the LILLE Regional Conservatory and at the CRC in Linselles.
He also works in partnership as tutor and referring teacher with the National School of Music and Dance in the North of France.
Member of the SAXO CLONE trio (2 saxohones & a piano), he performs in France and abroad (USA -NY / SF / LA-, Romania, Poland, Portugal, Italy, Croatia, Tunisia, Morocco, England,… ).
Frédéric BASQUIN is often solicited as a soloist in many symphonic orchestras and Harmonies (LILLE National Orchestra, Coups de vent Wind Orchestra, ...)
Versatile, Frédéric studies jazz and records numerous albums and accompanies different artists on stage (Benjamin Biolet, Vanessa Paradis, Big Flo and Oli, Anne Ducros, Dany Brillant, Marion Cotillard, ...).
Saxophonist from the legendary Motown groups "The Temptetions" and "The Fourtops" during their tour of France.
